Job summary

BAE Systems in Nashua, NH is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions team on-site. You will lead mechanical design, analysis, and production of complex military systems, coordinating with electrical, software, firmware and test engineers to deliver robust, first-of-its-kind technologies.

The role emphasizes Agile hardware development, rigorous testing, and design verification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
4+ years (or 2+ years with MS ME) designing, testing, and troubleshooting high-reliability embedded systems.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, test methodologies, and ability to work with advanced test equipment.
Active DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical designs, development, integration/test, and production of complex military systems.
Generate 3D models, drawings, and documentation using GD&T principles.
Perform tolerance analyses to assure fit and function.
Perform thermal, structural/stress, and modal/vibration analyses.
Develop prototypes and conduct test and verification efforts.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and operations to meet DTUPC/DFM requirements.
Support resolution of technical issues discovered during manufacture and test of deliverable hardware.
Evaluate and troubleshoot mechanical faults and issues, identifying root cause and corrective actions.
Design test equipment to ensure performance and integrity of manufactured products.
Participate in requirements development, performing technical trade studies, and evaluating technology insertions.
Develop and execute test plans, including integration of test solutions, and provide detailed reports.
