Job summary

Mission Critical Group, a leading provider of critical power solutions, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design sheet metal panels, supports, barriers, and copper bus assemblies for low to medium voltage switchgear. You will work closely with electrical designers, project managers, and manufacturing staff to deliver manufacturable, regulation-compliant designs.

The role requires 3–7 years of progressive mechanical design experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3–7 years of progressive mechanical design experience in switchgear or related electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Hands-on sheet metal design, structural assemblies, and copper bus bar design experience.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and drawings of sheet metal panels, supports, barriers, and bus assemblies using CAD (AutoDesk Inventor).
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical designers to integrate structural and copper bus elements into drawings.
• Prepare bills of materials, assembly drawings, and cut sheets for manufacturing.
• Contribute to design reviews and process improvements to reduce costs and improve reliability.
