Job summary

Artha Nexgen is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer specializing in switchboards and switchgear to review orders, develop layouts, and model components using 3D CAD tools.

You will manage BOMs, ensure design standard alignment, and support production planning from engineering review through shipment. The role emphasizes collaboration with COE, ERP, and assembly teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with UL/NEC/NEMA/OSHPD codes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and validate all switchboard order documentation from the Electrical COE team, including outlines and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain and update BidMan files with accurate cover and door dimensions in line with design standards.
• Cross-check BOM in BidMan against design standards for ETO switchboard orders.
• Finalize BOM in DA Mechanical and transfer to ERP for production planning.
• Generate MI packages using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.
• Design custom fabricated components using AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools ensuring proper routing to assembly teams.
• Create final BOM from 3D models and release drawings in Enovia.
• Release final drawing package through Plant Order Manager.
• Engage customers, channel partners, Field Sales, and Eaton Care via plant visits and customer events.
• Contribute to product line innovation by recommending enhancements to design standards and pick tables.
• Provide hands-on support to assembly teams to resolve process inefficiencies and quality issues.
• Assist satellite plants with design reviews and product implementation.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and output quality.
• Ensure all products meet relevant national and local electrical codes including UL, NEC, NEMA, and OSHPD
