Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in building systems mechanical engineering.
  • Registration as a North Carolina Professional Engineer or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve bidding design and construction documents for mechanical systems.
  • Verify scope and estimated costs against contract requirements and funds.
  • Check plans for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Suggest corrections and improvements to designs and specifications.
  • Coordinate plans among engineering and architectural disciplines.
  • Assist field personnel to resolve technical or contractual issues.
