Job summary
SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for its Starship avionics team. You will design advanced instrumentation for high reliability in extreme environments and lead efforts in mechanical design and analysis. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's in relevant engineering fields and have over 5 years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design. The compensation ranges from $130,000 to $180,000 annually, with extensive benefits including paid vacation and health coverage.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing.
Experience with high vibration and high pressure environments.
Master's degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
Design custom instrumentation for extreme environments.
Participate in manufacturing processes including pressure and thermal testing.
Conduct failure analysis on components regarding thermal and loads.
