SpaceX is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Starship) based in Starbase, TX. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers to design and package avionics hardware for current and next-generation vehicles, ensuring manufacturability and robustness in harsh launch environments.

Responsibilities include driving design trades, sizing, and testing, while collaborating with electrical, manufacturing, and analysis teams to accelerate delivery and reduce cost and mass.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or math required.
• 3+ years of professional experience designing mechanical components or assemblies.
• Experience leading teams is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own avionics mechanical design and packaging for Starship avionics hardware.
• Lead design, analysis, and testing to ensure manufacturability.
• Drive design decisions, schedules, and cost targets with cross-functional teams.
• Perform first article builds, DFMA improvements, and support production.
