Job summary

Redwire Space Missions, LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (senior levels considered) to join our spacecraft design team. You will develop state-of-the-art structures and mechanisms for satellites and defense applications, focusing on primary structure, deployables, and mounting architectures.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace/defense, SolidWorks proficiency, GD&T, and the ability to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of related aerospace/defense experience preferred.
  • Experience generating engineering drawings and using GD&T.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and spacecraft structures.

Responsibilities

  • Own specific mechanical systems and coordinate cross-team interactions.
  • Own spacecraft configuration and mechanical architecture from concept through integration.
  • Develop 3D spacecraft structures in SolidWorks and create manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
  • Perform first-order structural analyses to support design trades.
  • Create design review packages and maintain requirements matrices in Excel or Jama.
  • Interface with customers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
  • Follow AS9100 quality processes and drive schedule adherence.
