Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and analysis of solid rocket motor components. You will guide engineers, perform CAD/FEA, and generate engineering drawings while coordinating prototyping, manufacturing, and test ops at multiple facilities.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical design/analysis, a BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering, and a Secret clearance. Expect 10–25% travel and close collaboration with RMS teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience.
• Experience with CAD and FEA software.
• Understanding of GD&T and manufacturability.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and obtain a Secret clearance.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for component-level design engineers.
• Perform CAD design activities of mechanical components.
• Conduct finite element analysis of structural and thermal systems.
• Create engineering drawings and release product definitions.
• Document analyses and present findings in reviews.
• Support prototyping, manufacturing, and testing onsite and with suppliers.
• Own development of critical systems from cradle to grave.
