Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 4 to advance mechanical designs for wet plating hardware in Sabre and Sabre 3D product lines. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read system requirements, drawings, and interface documentation.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools (Creo/NX) and mechanical analysis.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Translate subsystem-level requirements into detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and drawings.
• Perform engineering analysis (tolerance, thermal-mechanical, structural) to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Systems, Process, Electrical, Controls, Software, Manufacturing) for subsystem integration.
• Support NPI phase-gate activities (Pre-DR, DDR, CDR, FDR) with milestones on schedule.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and DFMEA with corrective actions.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and docs per Lam standards.
• Work with external Supply Chain partners to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute to sustaining eng and field issue resolution as needed.
