Job summary

PulseForge, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design the next generation of our pulsed-light platform. You will own mechanical subsystems from architecture through production, releasing reliable hardware and guiding tradeoffs across cost, schedule, and performance.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure producibility and customer-ready performance. On-site in North Austin, TX with travel <5%.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing hardware that was built, tested, and released or deployed.
• Strong 3D CAD skills; Inventor preferred; SolidWorks/NX/Creo acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical architecture of the platform, including machined structures, packaging, racks, optics, and associated systems.
• Own subsystems from architecture through production release and sustaining.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and supply chain; guide release decisions.
