Job summary

PulseForge, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Austin, TX to design the hardware that powers our pulsed-light systems.

You will own hardware from concept through customer deployment, collaborating with software, mechanical, and applications teams to deliver robust, production-ready electronics. You will work on analog, digital, and power domains, perform bench testing, and develop test plans and fixtures.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on hardware design experience across analog/digital/power domains.
• Experience bringing hardware from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematics, select components, and evaluate tradeoffs from concept to release.
• Define system specifications and requirements.
• Plan PCB layouts with signal integrity, thermal, EMI considerations.
• Bench bring-up, debugging, characterization, and test execution.
• Guide design decisions with data, simulations, and measurements.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and applications teams for production-ready solutions.
• Support sustaining work and product improvements.
