American Innovations is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical architecture of next-gen IoT hardware, including Bullhorn RMUs, MicroMax interrupters, and DVM instruments. You will balance outdoor ruggedness, manufacturability, and reliability, approving production tooling end-to-end as the final mechanical approver.

You’ll lead injection-molding design, prepare CAD records with GD&T, work with cross-functional teams, and translate field feedback into durable design changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years hardware experience
• Portfolio of shipped parts demonstrating enclosure design for outdoor electronics
• Experience with plastic injection-m molded enclosures, seals, UV-stable resins
• CAD, GD&T, production drawings, and tolerance analysis across assemblies

Responsabilités

• Own mechanical architecture for next-gen IoT hardware across RMUs and field instruments
• Design plastic housings, covers, adapters, and battery compartments for outdoor environments
• Create 3D concepts and production-intent models packaging components into compact products
• Produce complete mechanical design records—CAD models, production prints, GD&T, BOMs, revision control
• Lead design-for-injection-molding and tooling strategies for industrial housings
• Plan and execute mechanical verification and validation for harsh environments
