Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment SME for onshore and offshore projects, including turbines, compressors and pumps.

You will specify and apply rotating machinery, review vendor drawings, support field commissioning, and ensure high engineering standards across the project life cycle. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 20 years in rotating machinery, API standards for rotating equipment, LNG/ammonia/oil & gas experience, and a PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 20 years of progressive experience in rotating machinery specification and selection.
• Working knowledge of API standards for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines).
• Experience in LNG, ammonia, ethylene, refining or offshore facilities preferred.
• PE license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Specify and apply rotating machinery for onshore and offshore projects including gas turbine-genators and compressors.
• Perform vendor drawing reviews and coordinate with vendors and engineering specialists.
• Witness acceptance tests and support field commissioning when required.
• Manage mechanical scope for new packaged rotating equipment and related systems.
• Collaborate with Project Engineer to address technical concerns and maintain high engineering standards.
