Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an Mechanical Engineer to review design and select specialty rotating equipment for EPC projects, including gas compressors and sea water pumps. The role requires preparing specs and data sheets, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and evaluating bids according to API/ASME standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, have minimum 2 years of EPC experience with international clients, and can communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant EPC project experience with reputed international clients.
• Offshore project experience (Well Head, Fixed Platforms and FPSO) is preferred.
• Shall be well conversant with International Industry Codes such as ASME, API etc.
• Should possess coordination / communication skills and very good knowledge of spoken and written English language.

• Review design and selection of specialty rotating equipment on EPC projects like Process Gas Compressors and Sea Water Injection Pumps.
• Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for rotating equipment and packages.
• Coordinate work with inter-disciplines, client and suppliers.
• Review technical evaluation of bids; prepare technical bid tabulation reports with suppliers, clients and inter disciplines.
• Perform vendor document and design reviews for specialty rotating equipment and packages.

Selecting specialty rotating equipment on EPC projects like Process gas Compressors, Sea Water Injection Pumps etc. in compliance with International API codes & Client Specification requirements.

Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for rotating equipment and packages, such as Centrifugal Compressors, Screw Compressor Packages, Sea Water Injection Pumps, Reciprocating Pumps/Compressors etc.

Coordinates work with inter-disciplines, client and suppliers.

Review technical evaluation of bids; prepares technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with suppliers, clients and inter disciplines.

Performs vendor document and design reviews for specialty rotating equipment and packages.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working on EPC projects with reputed international clients
