Job summary

Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop and optimize hardware for next‑gen robotic solutions at scale. You will design electro‑mechanical systems, mentor prototyping efforts, and ensure robust performance from concept through production.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality to deliver reliable automation solutions and scalable hardware for Amazon's dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience leading the mechanical detailed design of electro‑mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience crafting proof‑of‑concept models and prototypes.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD; strong part design skills.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing.
• Own the detailed design and performance of a robotics design.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and vendors to ensure smooth launches.
• Write functional specs, design verification plans, and test procedures.
• Apply cradle-to-grave ownership and rigorous engineering analysis.
• Design holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with evolving requirements.
