Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for remote work to design RF systems for challenging thermal and vibration environments. You will lead programs as an REA or IPTL and liaise with customers to ensure success on technical, cost and schedule targets.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 5+ years) and experience with defense electronic systems, GD&T, and CREO. This is a 100% remote position in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required with 8+ years' experience.
• Experience with defense electronic systems is required.
• GD&T and ASME drawing standards knowledge.
• 3+ years solid modeling in CREO or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design RF systems for high vibration environments.
• Lead programs as REA or IPTL and coordinate teams.
• Mentor matrix team and provide guidance.
• Present technical results and manage customer relationships.
• Communicate with leadership to meet schedule and cost targets.
