Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to design RF systems for challenging thermal and high-vibration environments, and to lead as a REA or IPTL. You will coordinate with programs, ensuring success within cost and schedule while guiding junior engineers.

We value clear communication, mentorship, and the ability to present technical results to customers. This 100% remote role requires a U.S. security clearance and citizenship.

Qualifications

STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
Experience with Mechanical Design of defense electronic systems.
GD&T and ASME drawing standards experience.
Solid modeling with Creo or equivalent for 3+ years.

Responsibilities

Lead programs as REA or IPTL and liaison to programs.
Provide technical guidance and mentor matrix team.
Lead RF system design for high vibration environments.
Make technical presentations and maintain customer relationships.
Communicate effectively with leadership and teams.
Oversee junior engineers' assignments and performance.
