Job summary

HP seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the development of high-volume video conferencing products. The role centers on translating concepts into functional mechanical designs and rapid prototypes, collaborating with industrial design, audio, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams to advance from concept to production-ready designs.

This position emphasizes fast iteration, 3D printing, system-level thinking, and scaling mechanical solutions for commercial manufacturing

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of work experience in engineering design and hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into functional mechanical designs and prototypes.
• Use rapid-prototyping (3D printing) to test concepts quickly.
• Develop mechanical designs for enclosures, components, and assemblies.
• Create and manage system architectures using 3D CAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess performance and tradeoffs.
• Iterate designs based on testing feedback and data.
• Mentor less experienced staff and guide external partners.
