Job summary

Charm Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and improve pyrolysis equipment at our Fort Lupton facility. You will develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for production use, select actuators and sensors, and work with electrical, automation, and fabrication teams to bring designs from concept to field-ready hardware.

You will troubleshoot issues, validate performance through test plans, and contribute to commissioning campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Seasoned mechanical design experience (3-5 years).
• CAD knowledge required; OnShape is used.
• Experience with DFMA and FMEA.
• Familiar with GD&T and basic fabrication techniques, and release of engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with electromechanical systems and hands-on troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design unique solutions for next generation pyrolyzer operations and production use.
• Develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for production, interfacing with electrical and controls teams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and optimize performance.
• Develop and execute test plans and commissioning campaigns for production hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement systems into the pyrolysis package.
• Provide on-call production support when needed.
