About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer based out of our Fort Lupton facility, you’ll be responsible for designing the next generation of pyrolysis technology, implementing and troubleshooting mechanical systems in production, and collaborating with the broader engineering team, including electrical, automation, and manufacturing engineers, as well as fabricators and technicians. This group collaborates to overcome design/build/test challenges and successfully execute commissioning and production handover campaigns.

• Design new mechanical systems and select electromechanical actuators, sensors, pumps, etc., continually improving pyrolysis and biomass processing equipment.
• Develop test plans to ensure systems meet overall design intent.
• Update the configuration of legacy systems to validate new design pathways or subsystems.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production machines based on issues observed by Operations partners.
• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and manufacturing teams and with fabricators and technicians to execute commissioning and production handover campaigns.

Report to the Lead Pyrolysis Engineer based out of Fort Lupton, Colorado.

Compensation: 74,400 – 111,600 USD annually.
