Job summary

Voyager Technologies is recruiting for a senior mechanical/rocket engineer to design and optimize complex propulsion and structural systems. You will work on actuators, igniters, pressure vessels, and 3D models, delivering precise drawings and GD&T for manufacturing and testing.

The role requires 7–10 years in mechanical engineering and eligibility to obtain security clearances. Travel and collaboration across disciplines are expected in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• U.S. Person and eligibility to obtain needed export clearances.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize complex systems including actuators, igniters, and pressure vessels.
• Analyze performance and provide design trade-offs and recommendations.
• Create precise 2D/3D models and technical drawings with GD&T.
• Interpret drawings and ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
• Lead manufacturing planning, testing, and integration activities.
• Develop mass estimation and reliability metrics for complex systems.
• Provide project management and cross‑functional collaboration.
