Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company in Middletown, CT is seeking a registered Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to lead the building systems design for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection across healthcare, higher education and commercial markets.

You will work with Principals in Charge and engineering professionals to manage diverse projects and client portfolios. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a PE license, and at least 6 years of HVAC/building systems experience, with AutoCAD; Revit

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years in HVAC/building systems design.
• AutoCAD experience required; Revit preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Principals in Charge on project proposals, costs, and scopes.
• Interface with clients and coordinate HVAC/mechanical design delivery.
• Review and approve project documents for quality.
• Lead engineering staff and coordinate with clients during design.
• Perform site observations/inspections as needed.
• Travel to local project sites; some overnight travel may be required.
