Job summary

H.F. Lenz Company in Johnstown, PA seeks a registered Project Manager experienced in MEP building system design to lead mechanical/HVAC design and project management for educational and commercial markets. You will work with Principals in Charge and engineers, overseeing scheduling, cost estimates, and client coordination.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 5 years in HVAC/MEP, FE/EIT preferred, AutoCAD essential, Revit preferred, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 5years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical building system design or facilities engineering.
• FE/EIT Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required; Revit software experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in project and personnel management is required.
• MEP design experience in variouscommercial markets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Principals in Charge on project scheduling, cost estimates, project scopes and deadlines.
• Responsible for HVAC design, coordinating MEP engineering design production to meet service, quality and effectiveness between engineering staff, contractors and clients.
• Review and approve project documents, modifications and changes for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with and mentor engineering staff throughout design process.
• Conduct job site observations, surveys and inspections as necessary.
• Travel to project sites is required; some overnight travel may be expected.
