Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to lead design teams and coordinate HVAC/plumbing projects. The role involves developing proposals and supporting business development while mentoring junior engineers.

The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, including civil, structural, electrical, and fire protection disciplines, across multiple locations. Hybrid schedule and client-facing responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10 to 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
• Experience with energy modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for projects.
• Manage and design multiple concurrent projects.
• Interpret technical drawings accurately and lead design team efforts.
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals and support business development.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
