Job summary

Vivo US is seeking a Senior Engineer to mentor the engineering team and own products from concept to completion. You will drive cross‑functional design projects, coordinate resources, and ensure high quality outcomes across engineering disciplines.

You will contribute hands‑on to design and development, support validation activities, and work with external suppliers or targets as needed, including travel. Strong mentorship and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred.
• 7+ years of mechanical/product design engineering experience with leadership.
• Owning end-to-end project outcomes and delivering on schedule.
• Deep expertise in mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Willingness to travel and engage with external partners.
• Mentor others and influence technical direction without formal authority.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical design, CAD, and prototyping.
• Ability to solve problems and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, project, and team initiatives, mentoring junior engineers.
• Provide deep mechanical systems expertise to support product development and quality initiatives.
• Organize and lead cross-departmental projects, coordinating people and resources.
• Represent engineering in conversations with suppliers or potential targets, including travel.
• Lead design projects from concept through completion with deadlines and quality expectations.
• Conduct regular project reviews to identify roadblocks and determine action plans.
• Contribute to design work and validation activities within engineering.
