Job summary

VITAMIX seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Product Engineering to drive development and implementation of engineered changes for new product development and sustaining engineering. You will define customer needs, vet concepts, and scale solutions into manufacturing with a focus on design best practices and mentoring the team.

You will lead technical initiatives, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and advance reliability and manufacturability through analysis, testing, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from ABET-accredited university in Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on technical aspects of project designs that satisfy functional, performance, reliability and internal requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to facilitate project execution.
• Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers/partners to deliver product offerings.
• Utilize stage-gate product development framework for New Product Development.
• Lead FMEA and verification/validation activities for components and systems.
• Coach and mentor team members and drive design practice improvements.
