Job summary

Medical Technology Talent is assisting in recruiting for a world-class precision optics team in Saco, Maine. The role leads mechanical design of high-precision optomechanical assemblies from concept through production, with direct customer engagement from day one.

You will work under ISO 13485 QMS, drive DFM/DFA, and support optical testing, metrology, and multi-project delivery across programs. 5–7 years in a high-precision field and a BS in Mechanical Engineering are required, MSc preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years product development in a high-precision industry.
• BSc Mechanical Engineering required; MSc preferred.
• Experience with regulated industry documentation (ISO 13485, FDA design controls).
• Experience leading mechanical design of precision optomechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of precision optomechanical assemblies from concept to production-ready designs.
• Translate clinical and engineering requirements into robust design specifications with direct customer engagement.
• Hands-on prototyping, assembly and test, especially in early development phases.
