Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, testing, and documentation of high-precision capital equipment used in advanced manufacturing environments. You will develop innovative mechanical designs and validate performance with cross-functional engineering teams across the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency (NX, Creo, SolidWorks), robust materials knowledge, and strong communication to deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong 3D CAD experience using NX, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), or SolidWorks.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for precision equipment.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts and design improvements.
• Develop engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design packages.
• Create test plans and perform design validation and verification activities.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and testing efforts while providing technical guidance as needed.
• Communicate design intent, technical solutions, and project updates with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous product improvement initiatives.
