Job summary

Precision Additive in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems for our products and manufacturing processes. You will translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable designs and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in mechanical design, proficiency with Siemens NX, and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5-7 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
Experience with engineering documentation and product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production.
Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
Perform tolerance, thermal, and stress analyses; design for manufacturability.
Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate performance and reliability.
Translate product requirements into engineering specifications and design solutions.
Participate in design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement.
Support the transition of new designs from development to manufacturing.
