Job summary

Constellation Search Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire role in Massachusetts. You will design and develop advanced power supply solutions, focusing on enclosure, heatsink, and cable assembly mechanicals, with thermal, acoustic, and vibration simulations.

Responsibilities include collaborating with hardware, firmware, and program managers; leading design reviews; analyzing test data; and driving cost and schedule objectives while ensuring safety,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power electronics mechanical design, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Expertise in simulation packages and thermal analysis.
• Experience in safety, regulatory, and thermals for medical equipment is desirable.
• Proven history of taking products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient power supplies with thermal design, 3D board layout, prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware and program managers on product development.
• Lead design reviews and communicate across cross-functional teams.
• Analyze test data to verify design meets specifications and performance goals.
• Interface with internal departments to meet cost and schedule objectives.
• Diagnose issues across design, field performance and manufacturing test yields and implement corrective actions.
