Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for advanced power supply solutions. You will balance performance, reliability, and cost while working with enclosures, heatsinks, cable assemblies, and molded parts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power electronics mechanical design (SolidWorks).
• Experience with simulation packages and thermal design.
• Proven product development from concept through production.
• Experience with medical equipment knowledge.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for power supplies including enclosures, heatsinks, cable assemblies, and molded parts.
• Collaborate with hardware, electrical, firmware, and program management teams on product development of large scope.
• Participate in design reviews to improve mechanical and thermal design.
• Analyze test data to verify design meets specifications.
• Interface with internal departments to meet cost and schedule goals.
• Diagnose issues across design, field performance, reliability, and manufacturing test yields; implement corrective actions.
