Corning Incorporated seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Plant Engineering team in Concord, NC. You will lead design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of plant equipment and utility systems to deliver safe, cost-effective, and performance-driven solutions.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of equipment or controls engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and ability to produce layouts, drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, fluid power, pneumatics, machine guarding, safety practices.
• Ability to translate manufacturing needs into engineering requirements and validated solutions.
• Proven project management capability including scope, cost, schedule, and contractor coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Lead plant engineering projects from scope to turnover to operations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and process constraints.
• Define design requirements, specs, and acceptance criteria for new or modified systems.
• Develop and maintain equipment layouts, installation drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, automation, quality and EHS to improve uptime and efficiency.
• Track schedules and budgets, communicating status to leadership.
