Job summary

Arconic’s Davenport Works is seeking a Maintenance Unit Supervisor to lead a union crew in a demanding manufacturing setting. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and cost-effective problem solving in both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

You will mentor mechanical and electrical craft employees, coordinate 12-hour shift rotations, and work under the Area Technical Leader to improve productivity and delivery performance in a large aluminum production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Preferred: supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical crafts within a specific department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and other personnel.
• Execute planned and unplanned work to meet department goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment and a workplace that causes no harm to people or the environment.
• Lead individual safety discussions and job-specific safety reviews.
• Support operating results through the management of your crew focusing on quantity, quality, timeliness, safety, recovery and delivery performance.
• Ensure work is allocated fairly and clearly assigned to crew members; formulate and assign tasks within guidelines established by management.
