Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Engineer in the United States to provide mechanical engineering leadership across a portfolio of Liquids Pipelines projects. You will guide design, equipment selection, reliability improvements, and engineering solutions to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering compliant, high-quality design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) preferred.
• 6+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
• P.Eng. in Canada or PE in the US preferred.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas pipeline and facility construction, regulatory requirements, and industry codes and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; experience with Enbridge projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Mechanical Engineering contact for Projects, ensuring alignment with standards and asset strategies.
• Review and audit project designs for compliance and completeness; provide feedback.
• Lead or support projects and produce design documentation, drawings, and calculations.
• Apply mechanical engineering skills across the project lifecycle.
• Identify design improvement opportunities and enhance cost competitiveness and design efficiency.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to developing engineers.
