Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering efforts for Liquids Pipelines across Canada and the United States. You will guide design, equipment selection, reliability improvements, and cost-effective operation of Enbridge assets.

You will mentor engineers, review designs for compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Licensed as P.Eng. in Canada or PE preferred in the US.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, regulatory standards, and codes.
• Effective communication and leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam; project documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary mechanical engineering contact for projects and standards.
• Review designs for compliance and provide feedback to teams.
• Lead or support in-house projects and produce design docs and calculations.
• Apply mechanical engineering expertise through the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify design improvements and cost efficiency.
• Mentor developing engineers and junior staff.
