Job summary

SCALIS is seeking a Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer to architect and lead the mechanical design and manufacturing strategy for a robotic pharmacy platform. You will scale from prototype to nationwide deployment, designing complex electromechanical systems for pharmaceutical-grade precision, and integrating with robotics, computer vision, AI, and compute.

Qualifications

• Ground-Up Builder: own products from concept through production, design, test and deployment.
• 8+ years hands-on mechanical/mechatronic engineering experience.
• DFM, high/low volume manufacturing, scaling from prototype to production.
• Expertise designing sophisticated mechanical systems with tight tolerances and high reliability.
• Electromechanical integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Manufacturing methods (machining, molding, casting) and build-to-print docs for contract manufacturers.
• Advanced CAD proficiency: OnShape, SolidWorks, Creo with master modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design sophisticated mechanisms for high-speed, high-accuracy medication dispensing.
• Lead DFx strategy and transition from prototype to production-ready systems.
• Own mechanical architecture from concept through production release for scalable deployment.
• Ensure serviceability, reliability, and maintainability in field deployment.
