Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a Licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical) license in Virginia or be eligible for comity licensure
• 7–10 years of professional experience in building HVAC design are required
• Ability to seal drawings and own the mechanical scope end-to-end
• Experience with load calculations and energy modeling tools (Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, IES VE) and energy code compliance documentation

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and produce accompanying specifications
• Perform design load calculations and energy modeling
• Mentor junior engineering and design staff
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
• Provide construction administration support including submittal review and RFI response
