Job summary

ENFRA seeks a Mechanical Professional Engineer III to lead design, coordination, and delivery of complex mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

You will oversee HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant design, mentor engineers, and ensure code-compliant, high-performance solutions aligned with ENFRA’s design-build model. Travel 10-25% of time; expect to sign/seal and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• PE license required.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical system design and applications.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents and overseeing technical quality.
• Leads the design and execution of complex mechanical systems and large-scale projects.
• Develops detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long-term energy savings.
• Establishes engineering approaches, design standards, and best practices.
• Provides technical oversight and reviews work by junior staff.
• Manages discipline scope, schedules, and budgets on projects.
• Supervises field investigations and site visits; coordinates with clients and partners.
• Mentors and develops junior engineers and designers.
