Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Torrance, CA to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and regulators from concept through construction, developing docs, studies, and cost estimates to support project delivery.

The ideal candidate has a CA P.E. license and 7+ years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
P.E. License in California or reciprocal state.
7+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience in commercial or industrial settings.
Experience with mechanical design for Public Works, State Agencies, and/or municipal authorities.
AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects from concept through construction.
Develop construction documents, technical studies and cost estimates.
Provide engineering support throughout construction, including reviewing submittals and resolving field issues.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to develop construction documents and cost estimates.
