Qualifications

• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience or 20+ years in design/construction for large projects (>250,000 sq ft) with PE license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical heat load calculations and mechanical designs for renovation and new construction projects.
• Review contractor proposals and designs and perform engineering analyses and evaluations.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Support testing and commissioning activities related to mechanical systems.
• Attend pre-construction site walks and develop heat load calculations and designs for in-house projects.
• Review designs and calculations submitted by others and provide feedback.
• Conduct follow-up surveillance during construction to ensure work meets approved drawings and requirements.
