Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead design and analyses for AP1000 and AP300 power plants. Hybrid work with on-site two days weekly at Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC. You will report to the Engineering Manager of AP1000 HVAC and BOP Fluid Systems.

Responsibilities include coordinating with leads, planning tests, and guiding complex projects with industry codes and standards. US citizenship or permanent residency required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; Masters preferred; other degrees considered with component design experience.
• Mechanical PE license is required.
• Significant experience with nuclear, fossil and/or cogeneration power plant turbine island systems and equipment.
• Experience leading a technical team and solving complex design issues.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of turbine generator and related subsystems with design and procurement issues.
• Coordinate testing plans with the testing organization for functional and qualification tests.
• Develop project schedules with project managers and subsystem leads.
• Direct complex technical projects across diverse teams to meet schedule and budget.
