Curtiss-Wright Round Rock seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of mechanical components and systems for nuclear applications. You will create prototypes, perform testing, and ensure reliability and safety in regulated environments.

The role requires 5+ years experience, a BS in mechanical engineering, and strong SOLIDWORKS skills. US citizenship is required. Travel may be involved as you work with quality standards such as 10 CFR and NQA-1.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years applicable experience in an industry role.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• US citizenship required.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Lead on design and development of mechanical components and systems.
• Create prototypes and conduct testing to ensure reliability and safety.
• Apply ASME Code to design and analysis of qualified nuclear sensors/instrumentation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and clients.
• Prepare technical presentations and cost estimates.
