Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Round Rock is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems for nuclear-qualified applications. The role includes prototyping, testing, ASME Code calculations, and ensuring CDG and regulatory compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and provide engineering guidance while staying current with industry standards. onsite in Round Rock, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read drawings and calculation summaries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical components and systems.
• Create prototypes and conduct testing for reliability and safety.
• Apply ASME Code to design and analysis of nuclear sensors/instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with CDG principles and quality regs (NQA-1, 10 CFR).
• Collaborate with project team and clients; prepare technical presentations.
• Support sales with cost estimates and proposals.
