Job summary

Curtiss Wright Round Rock is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a subgroup of engineers and technicians focused on Nuclear/Aerospace/Industrial products. You will build a high-performance team, improve engineering processes, and deliver safe, high-quality instrumentation on-time and under-budget.

You will partner with other managers, drive revenue and order goals, mentor staff, and promote a safe, inclusive culture while advancing continuous improvement and cross-functional

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electronics. Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification highly desired.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing and manufacturing products.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and data analysis.
  • Root-cause analysis and problem resolution at a functional level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and direct execution of a subgroup of Engineers and Technicians focused on products for specific market segments (Nuclear/Aerospace/Industrial).
  • Build a high-performance team, continually improve engineering processes, and deliver high-quality safety-related instrumentation on-time and under-budget.
  • Meet revenue, profit, cash and order goals, executing customer funded development projects, and streamline engineering processes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, communicate status, empower your team, and promote a safe work environment.
  • Own onboarding, performance management and career development of the team.
  • Lead by example and collaborate with Project Management to allocate resources.
