Job summary

Westinghouse WECTEC Staffing Services in Ogden, UT, seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide direct technical support for manufacturing and chemical operations. You will lead design and implementation of new systems, coordinate installation and testing, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires leadership of capital projects, development of project charters and budgets, and coordination across departments.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or chemical plant.
• Proficient in AutoDesk and ANSYS; Inventor/SolidWorks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, day-to-day technical engineering support for manufacturing and chemical operations and maintenance.
• Lead design and implementation of new or modified systems with equipment and processes.
• Coordinate installation, fabrication, testing and qualification of new equipment or processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and analyze innovative materials, machinery, and processing techniques to solve complex problems.
• Lead capital projects with cross-department coordination and project charters, plans and budgets.
• Prepare technical papers and present to customers and regulators.
