Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to lead complex nuclear assignments across the United States, applying depth in mechanical disciplines to plant systems, equipment, and reactor components. You will collaborate with clients, technology providers, suppliers, and project teams to turn requirements into safe, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 7+ years in nuclear.
• Experience preparing reviews or approvals of calculations, specifications, reports, or design packages.
• Knowledge of design control, configuration management, QA, and applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver mechanical engineering tasks per quality programs, codes, standards, and budgets.
• Lead mechanical engineering for operating facilities, upgrades, new reactors, or modular reactors.
• Develop and review design criteria, calculations, specifications, datasheets, and reports.
• Apply principles to piping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC and reactor components.
• Perform analyses including sizing, hydraulics, heat transfer, and safety assessments.
• Coordinate interfaces across disciplines and support design reviews and technical interfaces.
