Job summary

Qualifications

• 12+ years as Senior Mechanical Engineer with a 4-year degree in mechanical engineering (or 8+ years with graduate degree).
• Expert in SolidWorks with end-to-end design packages and fabrication-ready deliverables.
• Lead mechanical engineer on at least two benchtop or larger instruments that went into production.
• Strong experience with robotics/mechatronics and hardware for fluidics systems.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-instrument hardware using SolidWorks for liquid handling, imaging, and robotics.
• Lead and review hardware designs, manage parts and BOMs.
• Develop and refine requirements with team members across disciplines.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing; perform system integration and testing.
• Provide system fluidics and electrical design documentation; build and calibrate test rigs.
• Order/track parts and maintain design control and release via 3D-Experience.
• Lead hardware design from concept through post-production support.
