Job summary

Agnitron Technology, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve complex mechanical systems for custom MOCVD equipment, including structural components, fluid and gas handling, and thermal management.

You will create CAD models, perform calculations, support prototypes, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with controls and process teams to drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience or related project coordination.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and vendor quotes.
• Experience with custom equipment, vacuum systems, semiconductor tools, or precision mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and stay organized.
• Experience leading or assisting design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create and review technical documentation for semiconductor growth systems and upgrades.
• Delegate tasks to engineers to ensure timely project completion.
• Support and organize internal design reviews.
• Track open items, schedule risks, and vendor delays by project.
• Work with vendors to obtain quotes and prepare purchasing orders.
• Maintain project documentation, task lists, and status updates.
• Communicate project progress and issues clearly to management.
• Manage customer relationships and provide technical support as needed.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and handoffs.
