Job summary

D2B is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end design and project delivery for mining and heavy industrial equipment. The role combines SolidWorks CAD modeling with project management to ensure robust engineering solutions for the Australian resources sector.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, fabricators, and clients to enhance reliability, safety, and operational efficiency across complex site applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in heavy industry/mining.
• Proven track record supporting Australian clients or working to Australian standards.
• Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks for complex 3D assembly modeling and detailing.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from concept to execution with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design, modeling, and detailing using SolidWorks for heavy machinery and structural components.
• Manage full-lifecycle projects from scoping to fabrication, site installation, and commissioning.
• Perform mechanical design calculations, structural analysis, and design verification for safety and client requirements.
• Interface with Australian clients, fabricators, and field engineers to manage timelines and variations.
• Produce detailed engineering documentation including BOMs and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct Design Risk Assessments and ensure alignment with quality and safety protocols.
