Job summary

A consulting engineering firm in Champaign, Illinois is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. You will perform project development, coordinate with clients, and manage design work related to mechanical, plumbing, and process systems. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 5-10 years of experience in a design and consulting firm, preferably with knowledge of AutoCAD and HVAC design. Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience working as a mechanical engineer in a MEP design and consulting firm.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design is highly preferred.
• Being licensed as a Professional Engineer is highly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform project development as a mechanical engineer including client coordination and project management.
• Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare design documents.
• Develop engineering solutions, designs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve complex problems.
• Provide field engineering and construction services.
